Made from 100% Indian black tea sourced from small, independent gardens in South West India, then naturally decaffeinated using a CO₂ process that strips out the caffeine while preserving the rich, full-bodied character of the leaf. The result is a cup that genuinely tastes like a real breakfast tea, not the flat, washed-out compromise that most decaf teas deliver.The CO₂ decaffeination method matters. Unlike chemical solvent processes used for cheaper decaf teas, CO₂ extraction is a natural, clean process that targets the caffeine specifically while leaving the flavour compounds, antioxidants, and character of the tea intact. Who are Nuditea?
Nuditea is an independent whole leaf tea specialist founded by Josh and Sophie in late 2019 from their flat in London. What started as a plan to open a boutique tea space became a product-led brand during lockdown, and has since grown into an award-winning tea company stocked in wellbeing stores, cafes, yoga studios, and salons across the UK. Featured in Tatler, Vogue, Country Living, and BBC Good Food. Every blend is hand blended in small batches in the UK.
What does "whole leaf" mean and why does it matter?
Most mainstream teabags contain broken leaf fragments and tea dust, which brew quickly but lack the depth, complexity, and nutritional value of whole leaf tea. Nuditea uses whole leaves in every product, including their teabags. The difference is immediately noticeable: fuller flavour, smoother character, and a cup that can often be re-steeped for a second or third infusion. It's the same quality of leaf you'd find in a speciality tea shop, in a convenient everyday format.
Are Nuditea teabags plastic free?
Yes. All Nuditea teabags are made from Soilon, a plant-based mesh derived from organic sugarcane. They are fully biodegradable and can be composted along with your food waste. The packaging uses compostable kraft paper and plant-derived PLA. There is no plastic anywhere in any Nuditea product.
Do any Nuditea blends contain caffeine?
Some do and some don't. The Breakfast Tea, Masala Chai, Japanese Sencha, and Ceremonial Grade Matcha all contain caffeine. The Bush Tea, Bedtime Blend, Clarity Blend, Happy Blend, and Digestive Calm are all naturally caffeine free. Caffeine content is listed in the Specifications section on each product page.
How should I store my tea?
Keep your tea in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and strong odours. Reseal the packaging after each use. Whole leaf tea is best consumed within six months of opening for optimum freshness and flavour, though it remains safe to drink beyond this. Matcha is particularly sensitive to light and air, so store the tube sealed in a dark cupboard and use within two to three months of opening for the best colour and taste.
