The Earthbound TLC Soothing Gel is a cooling, healing gel for insect bites, sunburn, stings, rashes, and minor burns. Jo originally made it for a family member who was allergic to horsefly bites, and it worked so well that it became a permanent part of the Earthbound range. It's since become one of those products that families keep in the bathroom cabinet, the car, and the holiday bag, reaching for it whenever skin needs calming down quickly.Organic aloe vera provides the soothing, healing foundation, hydrating damaged skin while supporting its natural repair process. Organic witch hazel cools and reduces inflammation on contact, taking the heat and itch out of bites, stings, and sunburn almost immediately. Organic calendula brings its gentle but powerful healing, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties. Lavender essential oil and distilled lavender water double down on the calming and healing effect, with lavender's long-established reputation for treating burns and promoting skin recovery.Carrageen (seaweed) adds a softening, protective quality to the gel, while organic vegetable glycerine retains moisture and prevents the skin from drying out as it heals. The gel is light, non-greasy, absorbs quickly, and works on the first application for most bites and stings. Vegan, and gentle enough for the whole family.

Who are Earthbound?
Earthbound is an organic skincare brand handmade on a Welsh farm by founder Jo Ordoñez. It began in 1996 after Jo and her family spent a year living in a small mountain village in Northern Spain, where she learned to make herbal oils and wax balms from the wild herbs growing around her. She returned to Wales, received support from The Prince's Trust, and built Earthbound from a few homemade creams into the full range it is today. Jo's background is in biology and aromatherapy, and every product is still made by hand in small batches using organic, foraged, and ethically sourced ingredients.
What makes Earthbound different from other organic skincare brands?
The ingredient lists. Most Earthbound products contain between three and six ingredients, and every one of them is something you'd recognise from a kitchen or herb garden. There are no long lists of compounds, no synthetic preservatives, and no fillers. Jo's philosophy is that what goes on your body also goes in, so every ingredient earns its place on genuine merit rather than being added to bulk out a formula. The result is skincare that is remarkably pure and consistently effective.
Are Earthbound products suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. The simplicity of the formulations makes Earthbound products particularly well suited to sensitive skin. With so few ingredients in each product, there are far fewer potential irritants than in conventional skincare. Several products in the range are specifically formulated for sensitive skin, including the Jojoba & Vitamin E Cream, the Carrot Moisturiser, and the Clear Skin Serum. Are any Earthbound products vegan?
Some are and some aren't. Many Earthbound products contain beeswax or honey, which means they are not vegan. However, several products in the range are fully vegan, including the Hydrate & Rejuvenate Face Gel and the Clear Skin Serum, which are clearly marked with (V) in their product names. Check individual product pages for confirmation.
How should I store Earthbound products?
Because Earthbound products are made without synthetic preservatives, they are best stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. This helps maintain the integrity and potency of the natural ingredients. Most products have a shelf life of around 12 months from opening. If you notice any change in colour, scent, or texture, the product may have passed its best and should be replaced.
